Youth/Young Adult Action Board (YAB)
The YAB is made up of young people who are committed to improving the system for youth/young adults who are at-risk of or experiencing homelessness.
The YAB:

Reviews and offers feedback and recommendations to the Board and Collaborative Applicant on the Governance Charter for trauma-informed, evidence based, and Positive Youth Development Perspectives.

Reviews language of the policies, procedures, and CoC forms to consider content in relation to barriers that may exist to preventing and ending homelessness for youth and young adults in our area with an emphasis on equitable practices.

Supports the CoC in evaluating accessibility of our entry systems, cultural competency of our programs and practices for youth who have or may experience housing instability and LGBTQ youth.

Supports the CoC in evaluating available resources for education, employment and workforce development for youth and young adults.

Actively participates in the planning, project selection and coordinated response related to the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program.
